CARI COHEN

Cari Cohen’s multidimensional works seamlessly blend elements of architecture, the urban landscape, and the vibrant palette of graffiti art. Guided by spontaneity and her choice of materials, she adeptly composes innovative and evocative visual compositions.

Employing materials such as plexiglass, plaster, wood, and acrylic spray paint, Cohen sculpts and paints forms that draw inspiration from both the built environment and the natural world. The colors she chooses, reminiscent of graffiti art, serve as a nod to the duality of structure and chaos inherent in urban settings. Through this seamless integration of curvilinear and linear components, she harmonizes the organic with the angular, deftly transforming rationality into the realm of the innovative and the fantastical. Her artistic journey is a continuous exploration, culminating when the juxtaposition of disorder and order achieves a harmonious equilibrium.

A native of Argentina, Cohen holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires. Her work has been shown in exhibitions across the United States and has found its place in numerous private and corporate collections. She currently lives and works outside of Miami, FL.
